The role

As a Computer Science AI Training Specialist you will use your technical judgment to craft, review, and improve document-based training examples and evaluations that teach models to reason about computer science topics. OpenTrain AI hires contractors for this part-time, remote role.

What you'll do

Your work will center on creating and assessing document-based content used to train and evaluate AI systems. Tasks emphasize rigorous technical writing, clear explanations, and well-structured feedback.

• Analyze and evaluate computer science problems, solutions, and applied methodologies for AI training.
• Author, critique, and edit technical documents: system design notes, research write-ups, and case studies.
• Develop and review real-world scenarios and datasets to teach models how to reason in CS contexts.
• Assess technical queries and propose well-structured, accurate responses grounded in best practices.
• Collaborate on task guidelines and provide structured feedback to improve model accuracy, relevance, and robustness.
• Support evaluation and iterative improvement of AI tools using domain expertise.

Requirements

You must demonstrate formal CS training and strong technical writing ability. Preserve clarity and precision when explaining complex concepts in writing.

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
• Experience authoring or reviewing technical papers, system design documents, or research publications.
• Strong knowledge in one or more areas: algorithms, distributed systems, networking, databases, or artificial intelligence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and precisely.
• Comfort providing structured feedback and evaluating technical solutions in writing.
