About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help freelancers discover projects, consolidate proof of work, and grow a durable portfolio of AI-training experience.

We hire contractors directly for a range of annotation and human-feedback work. When you join OpenTrain you become part of a fast-growing community shaping how AI systems learn from human examples.

Why AI training matters

AI training — also called data labeling or human feedback — is the human side of building modern models. Contributors annotate text, evaluate model outputs, and craft examples that teach models to reason, summarize, and follow instructions.

This work is highly flexible, often remote, and accessible: many projects need strong language skills and attention to detail rather than prior AI experience. It’s an opportunity to influence how state-of-the-art systems behave.

The role

OpenTrain is hiring a Chinese-language LLM analyst to perform content analysis, summarization, online claim validation, and puzzle-style reasoning. You will convert long-form content into logical units, answer analytical questions, and create training scenarios with correct answers and explanations.

This is contractor, part-time work with a typical commitment of 20+ hours per week. You will work remotely and independently, producing detailed annotations and constructive feedback that directly improve model behavior.

What you'll do

  • Read long-form Chinese and bilingual content and summarize it into clear, logical sections.
  • Answer analytical and comprehension questions with step-by-step reasoning and clear explanations.
  • Create training scenarios and example prompts with correct answers and rationales to help LLMs learn.
  • Research and validate factual claims online, documenting sources and accuracy judgments.
  • Provide detailed annotations, evaluation ratings, and constructive feedback on model outputs.

Requirements

  • Fluent working ability in both Chinese and English (reading and writing).
  • Strong analytical, research, and logical-reasoning skills.
  • Comfort with detailed annotations, evaluation ratings, and giving constructive feedback.
  • Creative and lateral thinking for puzzle-style reasoning tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a reliable desktop or laptop and internet connection.
  • Available for approximately 20+ hours per week as a contractor, part-time.

Helpful background

  • Professional writing, analysis, or editorial experience (business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator).
  • University study or degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Google Suite for organizing notes and simple data tasks.
  • Strong data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic skills.
