About AI training work
AI training (data labeling/data annotation) is the human side of building modern AI: people create, review, and refine the examples models learn from. This work is often remote, flexible, and accessible — and contributors directly influence how AI systems interpret language and financial content.
The role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Financial Documents Specialist to support AI training projects focused on Chinese-language finance content. This contractor position suits experienced finance professionals who can produce, format, analyze, and review complex financial documents while communicating clearly in both Chinese and English.
What you'll do
- Create, analyze, and review finance-related content in Chinese for model training datasets.
- Develop, format, and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Evaluate accuracy and relevance of financial documents and labeled data.
- Explain financial documentation processes clearly in Chinese for annotation guidelines and training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data aligned with Fortune 500 standards.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in Chinese with strong written and verbal communication skills (zh).
- Fluent English communication skills (en) to collaborate and document processes.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years' hands-on experience creating or managing financial documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional organization and acute attention to detail when handling sensitive financial material.
Helpful background
Candidates based in the US and familiar with US financial documentation standards are preferred but not strictly required. Experience working with cross-functional teams or within AI/data training environments is a plus and will help you ramp quickly.
Pay & work details
This is a contractor, part-time position expected to be 20+ hours per week. The role is remote with preference for candidates located in the US.
Hourly pay range: $10 to $55 per hour.
- Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
