The Role
You will work as a contractor supporting a OpenTrain customer project focused on operational analysis, performance improvement, and evaluation support. The role combines business intelligence, dashboard review, KPI reporting, workflow documentation, and building rubrics used for evaluation and RLHF-style tasks.
This is a part-time, remote contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week with flexible scheduling. Pay is hourly at $50–$60 USD per hour.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day work will blend hands-on analytics, documentation, and evaluation design to produce actionable recommendations and training artifacts for AI systems.
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Create, interpret, and refine dashboards, KPI reports, and BI materials for stakeholders.
- Develop process flows, workflow analyses, and operational reviews that lead to clear recommendations.
- Design presentation decks and visual documentation that communicate data and insights effectively.
- Construct rubrics and frameworks for evaluating operational outcomes and performance measures (used for evaluation and RLHF labeling).
- Translate findings into concise reports for diverse business audiences and provide structured feedback to support AI training.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the listed skills and be comfortable applying domain expertise at the intersection of operations and analytics.
- Background in business operations, business analytics, strategy & operations, program management, revenue operations, supply chain, or process improvement.
- Advanced proficiency with business intelligence tools, dashboards, and KPI reporting platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Hands-on experience with process documentation, workflow optimization, and operational review methods.
- Ability to interpret and visualize data in charts, tables, and executive-summary formats.
- Experience producing high-quality presentation decks and visual documentation.
Helpful Background
These experiences are not strictly required but will help you succeed and move quickly in the role.
- Previous titles such as Operations Manager, Business Analyst, Strategy & Operations Manager, Program Manager, Revenue Operations Specialist, or Supply Chain Manager.
- Experience working on or creating evaluation rubrics, or prior involvement with AI training or RLHF-style labeling tasks.
