The role

OpenTrain and OpenTrain are hiring a Business Intelligence Consultant with advanced Excel expertise to support AI model training workflows. This contract, part-time role focuses on preparing reliable, well-structured spreadsheet data and delivering clear BI outputs that feed model training and evaluation.

Work type: CONTRACTOR, PART_TIME. Location: Remote, worldwide. Language: English required. Time commitment: 20+ hours/week. Data type: TEXT; label tasks include data collection and evaluation/rating; tooling listed as OTHER.

  • Pay: USD $40–$50 per hour (hourly rate range provided).

What you'll do

You will turn business information into clean, structured inputs for AI training and produce actionable BI artifacts that help teams evaluate and improve models. Clear documentation and repeatable workflows are essential.

This position emphasizes data quality, reproducible spreadsheet processes, and the ability to translate business questions into data-driven recommendations that support model development.

  • Structure, analyze, and present data in Excel for model training pipelines.
  • Prepare, clean, and validate large datasets for accuracy and integrity.
  • Build reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support AI training initiatives.
  • Document BI workflows and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes with Excel functions and add-ons.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on business intelligence or analytics experience with a primary focus on Excel.
