Why AI training work matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI: people prepare, review, and shape the examples models learn from. This work is highly accessible, often remote and flexible, and gives contributors direct influence over how state-of-the-art systems perform in practical settings.
- Flexible, remote work that fits around other commitments.
- Entry points for a wide range of skill levels — domain experience often matters more than formal AI credentials.
- Contributors help improve AI behavior in real business contexts.
The role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Business Domain Specialist to help train next-generation AI systems by applying your professional business expertise. You will review and analyze documents such as SOPs, reports, and workflows, extract critical details, and produce high-quality written content and structured inputs that guide model learning.
- Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
- Workload: 20+ hours per week.
- Location: Remote — worldwide applicants welcome.

- Identify inconsistencies or missing information and flag them for follow-up.
- Work independently with minimal oversight, using spreadsheets and document tools.
