About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help contributors discover projects, consolidate opportunities, and build a unified AI training portfolio they control.

Working through OpenTrain means joining a fast-growing community that helps people start and grow careers teaching AI — with flexible, remote work that fits around other commitments.

About AI training and this work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people prepare, review, and rate examples that teach models how to perform real-world tasks.

This project focuses on evaluating AI-created business documents and productivity outputs so those tools meet professional standards in clarity, structure, and business relevance.

The role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Business Document Expert (French speaker) to evaluate and improve AI-generated business deliverables. You will work with AI systems to assess documents across finance, strategy, marketing, and operations.

This is a fully remote contractor role (preferably based in the US) requiring at least 20 hours per week. The position pays on an hourly basis between $20 and $70/hour.

  • Employment type: Contractor, part-time
  • Time: 20+ hours/week
  • Pay: PAY_PER_HOUR — USD $20–$70/hr
  • Languages required: French and English
  • Ideal location: Remote (ideally based in the US)

What you'll do

You will evaluate AI outputs, design realistic business scenarios, and provide structured, actionable feedback so AI tools produce Fortune 500 or consulting-level deliverables.

  • Collaborate with AI systems to execute business tasks in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Evaluate, critique, and rate AI-generated deliverables across finance, strategy, marketing, and operations.
  • Design and test realistic scenarios mirroring professional workflows (analysis, presentations, reporting, proposals).
  • Review outputs for precision, business relevance, and professional quality.
  • Annotate and document recurring issues and escalate patterns to cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate clear, constructive recommendations to help improve AI behavior and output quality.

Requirements

You must meet the core qualifications below to be considered for this project.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in functions such as strategy, finance, marketing, operations, sales, or HR.
  • Proven mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create polished business deliverables.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) or eagerness to learn quickly.
  • Self-starter who thrives working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Helpful background (not required)

Candidates with any of the following backgrounds are encouraged to apply but these are not strict requirements.

  • Experience at a Fortune 500 company, top-tier consulting firm, or leading financial institution.
  • Prior work in AI evaluation, prompt engineering, or document automation.
  • MBA or other advanced degree and experience mentoring or providing structured feedback on business deliverables.

How the project works

Assignments include rating and annotating AI-generated documents, running scenario-based tests, and submitting structured feedback. You'll use the project's labeling interface (OTHER) to record evaluation ratings and supporting notes.

Labeling tasks include evaluation_rating and data_collection for document-type data. You will be expected to keep accurate annotations and escalate systemic issues when identified.

  • Data type: DOCUMENT.
  • Label types you'll produce: EVALUATION_RATING and DATA_COLLECTION.
  • Compensation is hourly (PAY_PER_HOUR). Exact hourly pay within the $20–$70 range depends on task and qualification.
  • Apply through the OpenTrain application process and include examples of business deliverables you've created or reviewed.
