OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role. We offer flexible, remote work opportunities where contributors directly influence how modern AI systems behave.

About AI training work

AI training (data labeling / annotation) is the human foundation of modern models: people annotate, rate, and correct model outputs so systems learn to behave better. These roles are often remote and flexible, and they let you apply language skills and analytical judgment to high-impact AI projects.

The role

As an Assamese AI Response Evaluator you'll review Assamese model outputs and judge them for factual accuracy, reasoning quality, clarity, tone, and completeness. You will also compare multiple model responses and produce clear, consistent English feedback and evaluation artifacts used to improve models.

This is contract, part-time work (20+ hours/week), fully remote and open worldwide. Pay is $15 to $20 per hour.

  • Data type: Text
  • Label tasks: Evaluation rating and question answering judgments
  • Employment: Contractor, part-time
  • Time: 20+ hours per week
  • Pay: $15–$20 / hour (USD)

What you'll do day to day

You will read AI-generated Assamese responses, compare alternative outputs, and record fine-grained judgments about which responses are better and why. Your English feedback will explain errors, suggest improvements, and document edge cases for model teams.

  • Assess factual accuracy, reasoning, clarity, tone, and completeness of Assamese responses
  • Compare multiple outputs and select winners or rank responses
  • Write concise, actionable evaluation notes and examples in English
  • Follow conversational and system guidelines when judging behavior

Requirements

We require demonstrable language skill and analytical experience. Please meet all listed requirements before applying.

  • Native fluency in Assamese (required)
  • Strong English writing and editing skills (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Significant experience using large language models
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors
  • Background in structured analytical thinking (research, policy, analytics, linguistics, engineering, etc.)
  • Experience with RLHF, model evaluation, or annotation is a plus

Who should apply

This role fits language-savvy people who enjoy careful analysis and clear writing. It's a good match for early-career analysts, researchers, linguists, or anyone with hands-on experience using LLMs who wants steady, remote contract work shaping AI behavior in Assamese.

  • Early-career or entry-level applicants with the required language and analytical background
  • People seeking part-time remote contract work (20+ hrs/week)
  • Candidates comfortable writing evaluation notes in English
