About this role

OpenTrain is recruiting experienced Angular developers to join a project that helps train next-generation AI systems by evaluating real-world front-end engineering tasks. The client for this project is OpenTrain, and contributors will provide high-quality evaluations and structured feedback that guide model learning.

This is a contractor, part-time role paid hourly. You will work remotely and independently in an asynchronous environment, focusing on code review, critique, and detailed documentation of findings.

What you'll do

• Leverage deep Angular expertise to analyze, review, and critique real-world software engineering tasks.
• Evaluate and enhance front-end codebases with attention to scalability, maintainability, and best practices.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to guide AI model learning and performance related to Angular development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional reviewers to simulate real development scenarios and identify edge cases.
• Apply RxJS and advanced SCSS/SASS knowledge to assess and validate complex code patterns and workflows.
• Document findings and proposed solutions with strong written detail; communicate recommendations verbally when required.

Requirements

You must demonstrate hands-on experience and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting. The role requires both strong technical depth and excellent communication skills.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Angular for front-end application development.
• Expert-level proficiency in RxJS for state management and reactive programming.
• Deep understanding of SCSS/SASS for scalable, maintainable stylesheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and impact.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex coding scenarios.

Compensation & logistics

This contractor position is paid hourly at a rate between $30 and $90 USD per hour. The project requires a minimum commitment of 20+ hours per week and accepts applicants worldwide. Work is performed remotely and asynchronously in English.
