About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a remote contractor role focused on reviewing and annotating software UI screenshots to help train next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will analyze diverse software interfaces, evaluate AI model responses against on-screen evidence, and complete structured annotation tasks across dashboards, admin panels, CRM tools, and web applications. No prior AI experience is required; what matters is your ability to interpret complex digital interfaces accurately and articulate well-reasoned, evidence-based assessments.

What you will do
- Review and analyze screenshots of diverse software interfaces, identifying UI elements and interpreting user workflows
- Evaluate and annotate AI model responses, grounding all judgments strictly in what is visible on screen
- Distinguish between observable evidence and assumptions, documenting clear explanations for each assessment
- Complete structured annotation and data review tasks across dashboards, forms, admin panels, CRM tools, and web applications
- Provide high-quality, actionable feedback that directly impacts AI model improvements
- Communicate insights and findings clearly in writing to support team knowledge-sharing

Required skills
- Expertise in screenshot analysis and UI interpretation across multiple software environments
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency in data review
- Outstanding written communication skills and ability to articulate complex observations concisely
- High computer literacy and comfort navigating a variety of digital tools, platforms, and workflows
- Demonstrated ability to distinguish evidence-based findings from assumptions
- Experience completing structured annotation or review processes in a technical, product, or operational setting

Helpful background
- Background in QA testing, technical support, product operations, UX research, data annotation, or technical writing
- Familiarity with reviewing complex interfaces such as admin panels, CRM tools, and modern web apps
- Prior experience working remotely with globally distributed teams
