The role
OpenTrain is recruiting an accounting expert to contribute contractor-based annotation, review, and evaluation work focused on financial documents and scenarios. You will apply real-world accounting knowledge to validate data, critique scenarios, and produce written and verbal feedback that helps train and evaluate AI systems.

What you'll do
Your day-to-day work will center on reviewing, validating, and improving financial content used for model training. Tasks will be a mix of evaluation/rating and guided text-generation or correction work.
- Review, analyze, and validate financial data and documentation for accuracy and realism.
- Evaluate and critique accounting scenarios, workflows, and policies for clarity and correctness.
- Provide high-quality written and verbal feedback on complex accounting concepts and tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support realistic and relevant accounting datasets.
- Incorporate regulatory context from US, UK, Canada, Europe, and LATAM into review and annotations.
Requirements

- CPA or Auditor designation (required).
- 5–10+ years of hands-on professional accounting experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax, and audit processes.
- Strong English communication skills — clear, concise, and professional in writing and spoken feedback.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work remotely and deliver quality results on tight deadlines.
