Coherent Beam Combining for Optical Communication (C.H.E.S.S, DRDO)
Implemented the SPGD algorithm in MATLAB to simulate and test phase locking and phase synchronization for a 19-channel fiber laser array. Built a MATLAB model of a phase synchronization controller and evaluated convergence and synchronization feasibility. Modeled phase noise sources such as ASE and thermal fluctuations using bandlimited white noise to support algorithm simulation and analysis. • Simulated phase locking/phase synchronization using SPGD for multi-channel coherent beam combining. • Modeled ASE and thermal phase noise for realistic control simulations. • Generated phase synchronization controller logic in MATLAB and assessed convergence behavior. • Demonstrated feasibility of scalable phase synchronization for a high-power laser source.
