I've spent the last 20 years building products and platforms from scratch — most recently as a CPO in the maternal-infant e-commerce space and as a CTO for a SaaS company that ended up serving over 120,000 retail stores. Through all of that, one thing became really clear: none of it works if the data is messy. I've managed teams across product, engineering, and operations, and a big part of that was defining what clean data looks like and making sure people actually followed the process. That experience maps pretty directly to running a labeling pipeline — setting guidelines, managing quality, catching edge cases before they become problems. What I bring that's a bit different is that I don't just know the operational side — I've designed the systems that consume the data too. I know why a certain label matters downstream, and I can spot when a guideline is going to create headaches six months later. I'm 45, I've been through multiple startups, and I still care about getting the details right. I'm not looking for a title — I'm looking for work that matters, and data quality is one of those things that quietly makes everything else possible.
