i have experience using roboflow where i annotated a bus dataset for our thesis on urban flood detection. my main task was drawing bounding boxes around buses at different water levels, making sure to carefully leave out water reflections and floating trash so our yolov8 model wouldn't get confused and learn the wrong things. aside from just labeling the images, i also handled splitting the dataset properly for training and testing to avoid data leakage, and i tested different image enhancement tools like clahe to see how they help the ai detect objects better even when the pictures are dark or rainy.
