My name is Sauri Benjamin Toyos, and I am an African who was lucky in his pursuit for greatness to end up in the United States of America at the tender age of 12. I came without relatives, simply a Kenyan kid who was lucky to be sponsored by a penpal's father to move to the states on account I was interesting and exceptionally smart. But, that is not the most interesting fact about me. I think the fact that I have ADHD is the coolest thing about who I am. I am passionate because I only commit to things that excite me and have hence pursued data analysis to understand phenomenon. I love to understanding the simpler things about life and have thus studied widely to get a better understanding of humanity. In line with that passion I am an accomplished data analyst particularly when using Excel and SPSS. I had a stint as a freelancer on academic research sites like Uvocorp which also helped me hone my research and reporting skills. I have completed a remote internship with Extern.com in collaboration with Schreiber Foods to help them further their pursuit for sustainability. During the 8-week period, I researched and helped craft a strategy to help their Carthage Plant cut the amount of waste that ends in the landfill from 65% to at least 55% in the first 6 months of the suggested pilot's implementation. I have some experience with image and data annotation having worked for a short stint on Outlier and I am very intrigued at the concept of AI and human interaction. I want to help artificial intelligence and particularly large language models to understand better so as to serve us better.
