Freelancer Overview

Oxford-trained Medical Doctor with experience in data labelling within the histopathology department of a busy academic tertiary hospital at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Worked on real patient cases with interpretation and clinical correlation of complex histopathological gallbladder, appendix and skin samples. Further professional experience working across a range of medical and surgical clinical specialties. Academic research projects outside of clinical practice include quantitative analyses of surgical outcomes for craniofacial and neurosurgical procedures, developing an augmented reality software for neuroanatomy education (awarded University prize) using C++, blender and mesh lab, and winning 2nd place in Harvard's 2024 "Harnessing Digital Health and AI" Hackathon. University awards for 'Data Analysis' and 'Evidence Based Medicine'.

Labeling Experience

Previous data labelling experience working in the histopathology department as a medical histopathology doctor at Edinbu

Previous data labelling experience working in the histopathology department as a medical histopathology doctor at Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary Hospital. My experience involved the microscopic analysis, classification, and detailed description of patient gallbladder, appendix, and skin specimens. This served as direct experience of high-level clinical data labelling. This work involved advanced pattern recognition and semantic data classification; requiring the analysis of complex, highly variable biological structures under a microscope and translating those visual features into standardised, high-fidelity diagnostic data based on strict medical taxonomies. Labelling required translational knowledge of the histopathological presentation of macroscopic tissue specimens (both normal and atypical), microscopic cellular changes and clinical correlation to the patient case. If required I can provide references from my histopathology department, from consultant histopathologists, to evidence my work.
