She is investigating the regulatory role of NAC transcription factors in Lactuca sativa immunity. She uses transient Agrobacterium-mediated overexpression and CRISPR-based knockout approaches to interrogate gene function. She applies rigorous experimental planning and plant molecular biology techniques to generate and validate biological data. • Performed Agrobacterium infiltration to express mCherry-tagged NAC constructs • Generated and validated NAC knockout and complementation lines • Integrated RNA-seq targets with existing datasets to map transcriptional networks • Used bacterial culture preparation, sterile seedling growth, and selection media workflows
