This career was slowly introduced to me at a young age, through my father who is a doctor within the Radiology world. Through him I got the opportunity to see the power of technology via Medical Imaging and reporting. As I thrive in a space where I can learn new techniques and use amazing technology, I knew early on the career I wanted to explore. A significant aspect of my job role involves working with advanced digital systems and AI-assisted technologies within CT, MRI, and radiography platforms. These systems generate recommendations based on patient data, examination type, and imaging requirements, but professional oversight remains essential. I routinely use scanning systems that involve AI to enhance and/or make pre-suggestions regarding scan parameters. I then validate their appropriateness, and make adjustments where necessary for accurate imaging outcomes. This has given me practical experience working alongside artificial intelligence while understanding the importance of quality control and human review.
