Independent Research Project — AI-powered learning tools adoption survey
Conducting an independent quantitative study on factors influencing students’ use of AI-powered learning tools in tertiary institutions. The work involved creating a structured questionnaire, administering a cross-sectional survey, and analyzing how TAM and privacy-related constructs predict adoption. Statistical modeling included testing moderation effects and drafting findings for journal submission. • Designed and implemented a quantitative cross-sectional survey of 350 tertiary students • Developed Likert-scale measures of perceived usefulness/ease of use, trust, privacy concerns, integrity concerns, and intention to use AI tools • Applied TAM and Privacy Calculus Theory and ran analyses in Jamovi (regression and moderation) • Interpreted adoption results regarding limited explanatory power of traditional variables where AI is widely used
