I have not held a formal data-labeling or AI annotation role
I have not held a formal data-labeling or AI annotation role. However, as a practising solicitor and former paralegal/trainee solicitor, I have extensive experience reviewing and evaluating legal documents, legal research, submissions, contracts, pleadings, and written legal analyses for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and authorities. My work regularly involves identifying errors, omissions, unsupported assertions, inconsistencies in legal reasoning, and weaknesses in argumentation. I also conduct legal research, verify authorities, analyse statutes and case law, and provide written feedback and recommendations based on my findings. These responsibilities require many of the same skills used in AI output evaluation, including critical analysis, issue spotting, quality assurance, evidence-based assessment, and clear written explanations. I am highly interested in applying these skills to AI training and model evaluation projects and am confident in my ability to learn annotation workflows and project-specific guidelines quickly.
