DiagnosisI run a software company in Dar es Salaam called Sigril Technologies (www.sigril.com), where I build AI agents and automation tools for local businesses. That means I work with large language models every day. Writing and refining prompts, building agent workflows with function calling and tool use, and checking the model's output until it's good enough to put in front of a paying client. Spotting where an AI response is wrong, weak, or off-tone and knowing how to fix it is most of my job. I come from a software and cybersecurity background, so I'm comfortable with code review, function calling, and agent tasks. I work in a Swahili speaking market and can follow and get by in Swahili alongside fluent English, conversational rather than native, but useful on multilingual projects. Most of my evaluation experience comes from building my own AI products rather than formal labeling contracts, but the judgment is the same and I pick up new tools and guidelines quickly.
I haven't done formal data labeling contracts, so don't mark me as an experienced labeler. But I work with LLMs daily building AI agents at my own company. Prompt engineering, evaluating and correcting model outputs, function calling, agent workflows, reviewing AI-generated code. So it's applied AI training experience, just not annotation gigs.
