Freelancer Overview

I do not have direct experience in AI training or data labelling to date. However, the core skills these roles require - evaluating the quality of legal reasoning, identifying errors or omissions in written legal analysis, and articulating why a legal conclusion is correct or flawed - are skills I have applied throughout my career in-house as general counsel and company secretary, in private practice in a top tier law firm in Australia, and in legal counsel roles in commercial settings. I have broad sector expertise across government, private practice and corporate roles which enables me to apply deep business expertise in the Australian context to legal matters. In practice, I have spent over 25 years reviewing and critiquing legal advice, assessing whether regulatory submissions and commercial contracts meet required standards, and providing structured written feedback to legal teams, executives and boards. This is directly analogous to what AI legal training involves: reading an AI-generated legal response, identifying whether it is accurate and complete under Australian law, and explaining clearly what is right, wrong, or missing. I am confident I can bring rigorous, practical legal judgment, in the Australian business context, to this work.
