I currently work as a Data Engineer / AI Trainer at Mercor, where I build pipelines that feed model training and evaluation workflows, and design, label, and audit datasets for LLM post-training. My focus is quality control and edge-case coverage — surfacing the failure modes that matter rather than producing volume for its own sake. Beyond Mercor, I've shipped production AI products at SireAI (Telegram bots powered by Claude for sports betting, stock signals, and weather-style information products), which has given me a practical sense of where models break in the wild — hallucinated reasoning, tool-use misuse, prompt-injection attempts in user inputs — and what kinds of training data correct for those patterns. What sets me apart is that I work both sides of the loop. I train and label data professionally, but I also deploy LLM-powered products to real paying users, so I see the downstream impact of labeling decisions: when a model confidently gives the wrong betting recommendation or misreads a financial chart, that's a labeling failure I can trace, document, and fix. I'm comfortable writing the evaluation rubrics, generating synthetic adversarial examples, and reviewing model outputs with the same rigor I'd apply to my own production code. Stack-wise: Python, structured logging, async data pipelines, Supabase/Postgres for dataset versioning, and Claude/OpenAI APIs for both production and evaluation harnesses.
