I am currently a specialist registrar in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine, based in the North West of England. I qualified from medical school in the year of 2017 and have accumulated 8 years of clinical experience and practice. My primary clinical interests are coronary artery disease, percutaneous coronary intervention, general cardiology as well as general internal medicine. My currentl clinical practice encompasses outpatient clinics in cardiology, inpatient ward rounds, echocardiography, diagnostic coronary angiography, pacemaker implantation as well as PCI. In addition to this, I very regularly contribute to the general medical rota out-of-hours commitment. Alongside my clinical practice, I value the importance of leadership and have demonstrated experience in leadership in the clinical and non-clinical settings. I held the role of deputy regional representative of the Sudanese Junior Doctors' Association in the West Midlands from 2020 to 2021 and held several other leadership roles during my medical education. I am passionate about quality improvement and improving patient outcomes and experiences. I have led 3 quality improvement projects with clear positive impacts on patient care. The most recent of which helped improve access and lengths of stay for patients presenting to hospital with acute coronary syndrome.
