Student GIS projects (Remote sensing image classification and flood risk GIS mapping)
The student performed geospatial image analysis to generate thematic outputs and classify land use/land cover from satellite imagery. These activities involved interpreting spatial changes and preparing map products for coursework and project deliverables. Work included applying GIS workflows to derive labeled classes for environmental themes and disaster planning contexts. • Created land use/land cover classification results from satellite imagery • Produced thematic maps and interpreted spatial changes for reporting • Identified flood-prone areas using GIS-derived spatial indicators • Prepared maps to support environmental planning and disaster management
